Another gorgeous prefab at Collabor88 this month: the Sunbleached Skybox from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil.

I lovelovelove that this comes in a sphere surround (surrounding sphere? surround-o-sphere? I really don't know the best name for it) that puts you smack dab in the middle of a stretch of gorgeous white sand with the sun beating down on you. You instantly feel like you are miles and miles away from civilization...but on your own luxurious terms.

This feels a bit mediterranean to me, with the crisp white and the open airiness of it. The skybox is a great little getaway, perfect for solitude or a great hangout for a few of your best pals.

Aside from that, the quality is - of course - amazing. It's a mesh build with gorgeous light and shadow play. I love that the floor and the built-in seating are textured to show thin strips of sunlight beaming in from the slatted roof. Beautiful.

The wood texture on the bookshelves and the partitions helps break up all that white and gives a little bit of an organic feel which is lovely against that gorgeous blue sky.

Cory also has the furniture pieces available separately. The Puffy Couch, just above, looks sooo comfy, and again, I love that Cory textured it to show the sunlight filtering through the roof. Please ignore that I have the couch turned the wrong way for the lines to match up with those on the floor...because I'm a dork...and just focus on how awesome it looks to see the sunlight playing on the fabric.

The Sunbleached Skybox is available right now at Collabor88! [SLurl]
