Second Spaces is participating in this weekend's round of The Neighbourhood! For those new to this event, it goes like this: every Saturday, a select group of home and garden designers will participate as part of a rotation, and will put out a new item at the front of their mainstore. Items will be new, or a new and exclusive recolor of an existing item, and will be priced at 200L for 24 hours.

I've broken out of my mold a bit for this round and actually made something that is not just a cabinet and is upholstered. GASP. Truth be told, this started out as just the upholstery pieces, but then I was pressured by several Plurk friends to somehow include a cabinet. I do love cabinets. So this is a little bit of both - the Mellie Lounge.

Each set is only 200L, but only for today (May 10). After this round of The Neighbourhood is done, the sets will still be available but at full price. You know you love a bargain, so get over here!!

Home Show 2014 is open!! It's a full sim of home & decor items from some of the best designers around the grid, and it is a must-shop event. Each designer was asked to create at least 2 new, exclusive items for the event, so you know there's going to be plenty of awesome to be found!

From Second Spaces, I've got two new cabinet-y things, because casegoods are my absolute favorite. ♥ For your entry hall, or laundry room, or actual mudroom (if you have one of those), I bring the Max Mudroom!

The Max Mudroom includes all the accessories shown, and is also available in tan and dark brown.

For your non-muddy areas, I've got the Lillian Hutch. This is one of those pieces that I would lovelovelove to have in RL. It's great for any room, really -- and would be super precious in the kitchen or dining room, a great place for dishes and knick-knacks.

The Lillian Hutch is also available in blue, green, and yellow.

The December round of The Men's Dept starts today!

Second Spaces has two new sets for this round of TMD. The Vintage Shoe Shine set is perfect for...well, staying shiny...and it's also great clutter decor for your space. You know how I love the clutter and will force it upon you until the end of time. I've also got the Craig Tables - a very manly set of stacking tables, all wood and metal, great for manly men (and everyone else). The set includes a solo table so you can stack and arrange it any way you want, and also includes 2 pre-arranged stacks for quick and easy decorating. I'm only thinking of your convenience. ♥

The Garden opens today! This month's theme is 'Sandbridge' and the event is full of beachy goodness! (P.S. - the theme is inspired by the Sandbridge area in Virginia, which is only about an hour away from me. FATE.)  For Second Spaces, I went with a quaint cottage entryway - a cute little set that's a perfect spot to hang up your tote and towel when you come back home after a lovely day at the beach.

It's a new round of Atelier Kreslo, and for the first time, I'm playing designer! I've previously participated as a pose maker, so this was exciting! I had the great opportunity to pair up with Flutter Memel of flowey. Poses - and the creator of Atelier Kreslo - to bring you the Morning Coffee Bench!

It's been a while since we talked about Atelier Kreslo, a monthly collaboration between designer and posemaker. AK took a summer break, but it's back now! A brand new installation kicks off today, featuring a collaboration between Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea and me! Me of Pulling Strings! That terrible grammar notwithstanding, Isla and I have the super cute Maribel Hanger Chair for you! Isla made the chair - which is probably the cutest thing in the history of ever - and I supplied the poses! Look!

I stumbled across PIXLights Factory several months ago...I forget how...but I grabbed a LM so that I could go back later to check it out and take some pics. That brings us to today.

Petrpix Cascarino is the designer behind the brand -- he's got vehicles, clothes, and probably some other stuff...but of course, his furniture is what I was most exited about. Honestly, I'm not sure if any of his stuff is mesh...I suspect it isn't, but it is all really nicely done sculpts. AND it's almost all really silly, funky, whimsical stuff - who doesn't need that?? I'm tardy in talking to you guys about Pilot, a new home & garden shop from Kaz Nayar. He's released a few items already for special events, I believe, but his shop doesn't officially open until this Saturday. That's happening Sat at 7PM SLT, there will be cool stuff there, and I always encourage you to go wherever there is cool stuff...so you know what to do.

What I've seen so far from Pilot is great mesh, slightly whimsical and offbeat, and definitely masculine...but not like macho or anything...just great stuff for boys who want cool spaces. We need more of that. And of course this is great for girls, too, because we can rock anything. RIGHT?!?!

So, while you're waiting for Home Expo to start, you need to get right on over to this month's Collabor88. There's good stuff there. For example:

This is the most beautiful hammock I've ever seen. ♥ Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has released the Lilith Hammock and Table for Collabor88's 'Daydream' theme, and she has done an amazing job. AMAZING. The hammock netting is, to me, a miracle of SL meshiness (only 11 prims!) and the textures on the quilts and pillow are just the loveliest soft, worn textures. You can almost feel how soft!

Oh, so much love. AND the best thing of all, which just can't be captured in a photo - it swings!! Just click to set the hammock swinging softly from side to side. So relaxing!

There are also a ton of really fun animations included, for both singles and couples. As always - you guys know how this goes - I had no one with whom to show off the couples anims...so here, check out some of the singles. There are, like, 15 or so single anims - these are my faves!
