It's a new(ish) month and that means new cycles for all of our favorite events. The Garden is actually just about to close its October round, so make sure you get over there, like, today! Collabor88 and FaMESHed have started their new rotations and there are some gorgeous things for your space at both events. Of course.

At C88 this month, Kaz Nayar of [PILOT] has a gorgeous new bedroom set. This bed has a great tufted leather headboard - it's masculine, but not macho, so it really works for anyone. I love the bedding, too - just the right amount of crumple with the bedspread, and the sheets are tintable so you can customize it a bit. And honestly, my favorite piece of the set is that storage basket you see under the bench. It's so cute and has just the perfect slouchiness to it. Well done!

There's a whole lot more to see from both events, and I'mma work on that, but in the meantime get over there and see for yourself!

More lodge awesomeness from this month's The Garden. All the designers have done an amazing job, and I'll get as many on the blog as I can, but don't wait for me! I'm slow. Go to The Garden and see for yourself. HAVE I EVER STEERED YOU WRONG? 

The sleigh bed is part of the new set from Alixxbella Resident and .encore.  There are a few different color varieties - for both the wood and the bedding - and who doesn't love a sleigh bed?? The wood texture is super homey ('super homey' sounds like a superhero from the 90s) and the bedding is nice and cozy.

That rustically modern fireplace is part of the new set from Rayvn Hynes and Mudhoney, also available at The Garden. I really love the mix of the brick and woods, and it's a really nice proportion for a casual fireplace...you know, versus something really grand that only feels right in a very formal room. This one would fit wonderfully in your living room, family room, bedroom, kitchen...versatile! All the decor on the mantel is included, too, so it's also easy!

 Wizarding Faire 2013 is running until October 20th and it is a must-see. The event set-up is modeled after Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter series, and it is precious! You must go and walk along the winding road and gaze into all the shop windows...and, oh yeah, there are some awesome wizarding supplies for you to buy, too. Bring your own galleons.

Of course, Collabor88 is up and running right now for the October round, and the color scheme used this month means that a lot of C88 stuff meshes really well with a lot of Wizarding Faire stuff, and that means hell yeah! The big pieces above are a mish-mash of the two events: that gorgeous bed is Cheeky Pea's contribution to the Wizarding Faire..the dressers are part of Trompe Loeil's set available at C88...and the throne chair is also part of C88, from floorplan. Nice.

The amazing book stacks are from Lark at the Wizarding Faire and are available to rez and also to wear, which makes for some great photo ops. The jars and the cauldron of books are also at the Faire, and are part of the wonderfully detailed items available from Consignment.

It's almost the end of the month, which means that events are wrapping up! FaMESHed will switch to the new round on Oct 1, and The Arcade will close on Sept 30 and won't be back until December. SO THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE FOR MANY THINGS. [insert dramatic music] 

At this month's FaMESHed, you can check out the Baybrooke bedroom from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil, and I highly recommend that you do.  The cabinet, bookshelf, and side table in the pic above are pieces from that set - I love the detail on the bookshelf so much. ♥ And, as illustrated in that pic, the set is definitely not limited to use in the bedroom (except maybe for the actual beds, but hey, you decorate however makes you happy) but everything else is really versatile and would look great in any room.

As previously mentioned, the September round of The Arcade is open -- and there are wonders to behold. So...many....wonders... 

One of my favorite sets, and the machine that's gotten most of my money, is from Julliette Westerburg and Tres Blah. It's the Bon Voyage set, and it's perfection.

Meanwhile, at The Home Show...Ria Bazar of BAZAR has clearly brought her A game. I love everything she has at The Home Show...I've checked out her shop before and really liked what I saw, and this newer stuff has just reminded me "oh, hey, Bazar is pretty damn awesome. Go there." That's how my inner monologue works. Concise.

Anyway, you definitely need to check out BAZAR at The Home Show (and then some) - and, you know, I don't really mention prices that often on this blog because that's not my focus --  BUT ohmygoodness, Ria is offering her stuff at amazing prices. At least the stuff at The Home Show (I've said that event name like 20 times in this post already - can't be helped) is really wonderfully affordable, especially for the great mesh quality of the pieces. Who doesn't love a bargain??

I love committing to a theme. This room is a mash-up of two sets available now at FaMESHed: you've got a super cute bedroom from Tegan Serin and floorplan., and then there's a  classic office from fri.home, which is a collaboration between Tegan and Darling Monday of fri.day. You know what I love best about their collaboration -- aside from the awesome furniture? The fact that floorplan. stuff and fri.home stuff goes so well together - it's like a megastore that just happens to be split between two locations. Or some other analogy that is more profound. Your choice.

I desperately want a shabby old card catalog in RL. 3-d printer, anyone?

I love the books-as-headboard idea - from a distance, it looks sorta artsy and geometric, and it's only up close that you realize 'oh hey - books!". I like that. And I predict that little book on the nightstand, the one with the pages formed into a heart, is going to become one of my favorite decorating accents. Love.

Froukje Hoorenbeek of Dutchie has won my heart once again with her latest release, the Gustavian Bedroom. ♥ The shabby wood textures are just perfect - so shabby! - and the little details and accessories are gorgeous. All the wood pieces are color-changeable, as well, so you get lots of choices of shabby finish. I went with the white wood because I just lovelovelove the vintage feel of it.

Gorgeous detail on the locks of the cases. ♥ Oh! And the bed has different bedding for each different color wood - all lovely!!

The Tiffany Bedroom Set is new from PILOT and Kaz Nayar, available now at this month's Collabor88. I love that bed - gorgeous bedding, lovely curves on the headboard, and a ruffly bedskirt! I love a ruffly bedskirt!

The vase of lilacs is just beautiful. As much as I love the whole set, I really think those lilacs are my favorite piece. Perfect! ♥

I have always been a huge fan of sleigh beds, and Cory has done an amazing job with the graceful curves on this one. You guys know how I love wood (heh) and I have equal love for anything faux bois, so that bedspread is perfection as far as I'm concerned. And as much as I love that bed overall, my absolute favorite piece of this set is the "wall paper", those lovely loose sheets of paper. ♥ Clearly they were intended as wall accents (oh, and the item is just 1 prim for, like, 20 pieces of paper) but I love putting them everywhere. I (clearly) took a bit of a blogging break over the holidays. Ooohhhh new stuff from Froukje Hoorenbeek and Dutchie!! Froukje continues to rock the mesh like whoa - I'm always so excited to see what she comes out with! Right now we have the Teak Canopy Bed set:

I have always been, and always will be, a sucker for a canopy bed. ♥ The Teak Canopy Bed comes with lots of color options for the comforter, as well as a few different wood options for the frame. It ALSO comes in 3 different versions: PG, Adult, and Bondage. OH MY. I'm too timid to try out the bondage version for blog pics, but don't let that stop you! (And you know who you are.)

That vanity is perfect. I love the classic styling, and I absolutely adore all the little cosmetics and whatnot that Froukje included in there. The whole set is awesome - really great textures and wonderful shading baked right in. Definitely a must-see!

Another gorgeous bed from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil -- the Mendoza Bed. This bed and matching cabinet are currently available at Around The World, an event sponsored by The Ego Co (ends Nov 29).

As always, Cory brings glorious detail and amazing textures -- she still has my favorite satin texture in all of SL. The bed is available in either a PG or Adult (WINK) rated version, with lots of great anims in both. There are quite a few bedding/bedframe combos to choose from, and then each of those combos also has additional texture options built in. The cabinet has scripted doors that open and close -- and maybe it's simple, but I always love things that open and close!
