Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has an adorably precious new set out at this month's FaMESHed -- the Salcombe Gazebo. With longing thoughts of spring, the gazebo is gorgeously constructed with lovely lattice walls and a semi-transparent roof to let the sunshine filter through on those gorgeous spring days that MUST be just around the corner. Right? Please?

The Salcombe set includes that beautiful couch (and a few other pieces) - the couch is so lovely with its springy color pallette and the perfectly draped pillows and throw. Isla does some of the best fabric draping ever. ♥

You know, after 7 years, I feel like I have sort of run out of things to say in blog posts. I like to include some commentary...but I also like the idea of just posting a pretty pic and the credits so that you can pick out what interests you and then go find it in-world. When I "read" other home/garden blogs, I'm really just looking at the pictures for things that I want to check out further, and I'll scan the credits to see where those things are from. I rarely read the actual post. This is my truth.

The January round of Collabor88 is ending soon, so  let me slide in under the wire to show you the latest amazing house from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil: the Sparrow Hill Lodge.

I may have said this on the blog before, but I'mma say it again anyway: I need a full sim where I can just set up all of Cory's houses and decorate them to my heart's content, and then live happily ever after in my own private little housing development.

As for Sparrow Hill, it's only 288L for the duration of Collabor88, so be sure to get over there before the 7th! The house is full of soaring windows and lots of open space for decorating, a lovely wraparound porch, and of course gorgeous textures and shadows as all of Cory's houses have. Another job spectacularly well done. ♥

This month's theme at Collabor88 is 'Raw Nostalgia' and I love it. The event is full of gorgeous items, as always, and everything just seems softer and sweeter with this nostalgic theme. ♥

I built this room around the amazingly lovely new vanity set from Sienia Trevellion and Lark - the Crawford Dressing Table. Sienia has always made wonderful things, even before mesh...but seeing how much she's grown in her creations since the advent of mesh has been a terrific thing to see. (I told her this recently on Plurk, so I'm totally re-using a compliment here, but I think she'll be cool with that.) The details on the Crawford mirror and on the dressing table itself are gorgeous -- and that hanging slip is just perfection. It's such a lovely touch, very casual and offhand, and is just the sort of thing I love to use in a room to give it life. Remarkable. ♥

I may have decorated the manliest bathroom in the history of ever.

Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has released another room in her Bremen series - the  Bremen Bathroom. It's very industrial and masculine, and I love that sink so very hard. That's the kind of sink I would absolutely love to have in my RL house, in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room - anywhere, really. 

All the railroad signs are part of the new Wanderlust set from Wavie Haller of Consignment, and are available right now at The Men's Dept. There are A LOT of signs and things included in the set, which makes for A LOT of great decorating opportunities. I love having stuff like this to sprinkle around any room - adds so much visual interest.

Another gorgeous full room set from Froukje Hoorenbeek of Dutchie - the Dutchie Complete Kitchen. A gorgeous build with wonderful textures and a ton of wonderful details. I love the canisters, pots, plates and bowls...there's also a really cute dish drainer included in the set. Even more exciting are all the beautiful veggies that Froukje included - wonderful for dressing up a space!

Dutchie also did a great job in the construction of this set - with mesh, it can get kinda weird sometimes, depending on how the designer has grouped things together. With this kitchen, you can unlink the whole set and then relink specific pieces -- like the veggies or the canisters and stuff - to use in different locations. The kitchen rezzed straight out of the box is perfection...but if you need to alter it to fit your space, or you just like playing with the accessories like I do, this set gives you those options! It helps if you're really comfortable with linking/unlinking pieces and parts...but the set is copy, so if you mess up, just rez a new copy! I love that flexibility!

I'm so excited to see a new house from the creative team at NOTsoBAD!!! Designers Reda Bertolucci and Emilie Freund have recently released the ROKEYA house, a gorgeous mesh piece that has a lovely, warm, almost southwestern feel to it.

The ROKEYA has a simple one-room open layout, with plenty of space for decorating. I love the exposed brick texture on that one wall, and I am always a fan of beams and columns. I do have SL shadows turned on in the very first pic of this post, but NOT in the 3 pics just above this paragraph. I wanted to be sure you could see the amazing light and shadow that's baked right into the mesh. Gorgeous.

The Willoughby Lake House from Trompe Loeil was a late entry to this month's Collabor88 - you know how hectic this time of year can be. I love miniatures and doll houses and all that sort of thing...which probably explains why I love homes & decor in SL so much. It's just a big ol' virtual doll house, really. What I also think is super fun is when designers make miniatures that are meant to be miniature and bring them into this virtual doll house so that we can have miniatures in our miniature world. Got that?

My pal Sienia Trevellion of Lark has made some of the most adorable little wee mini things this holiday season. First is the Frostivus Eve set, available right now at The Arcade. It's a really cute little ice skating rink with all the little characters that are scripted to attach to the base and skate their little hearts out. For the purposes of the first pic up there, clearly I did not have them skating, so you definitely need to check out the set in person. It's quite mesmerizing.

Secondly, Sienia has brought the Cocoa Express to the December round of The Garden. This is freakin' adorable, is what it is. Again, it's all scripted so you can put the train on the track and let it go! The set comes with a gorgeous snowy surround if you don't want just the track, and the little drawbridges are just precious. ♥

Also, the detail in both sets is amazing! Cute little wreaths and a pile of snowballs at the ice skating rink...and the train is carrying gorgeously scrumptious goodies!

I'm not ready for the holidays.

It may not be obvious from that pic above, but really, what I'm highlighting here is the Industrial Loft skybox from Barnesworth Anubis, currently available at Collabor88. The skybox itself is a nice open-concept layout with just a few basic interior details, which  makes it a great sort of blank palette canvas for decorating. The details that strike my fancy are ALL THE WINDOWS. I love 'em. Two walls of windows and glass doors, and then wonderfully large skylights along the entire roof line. If you're using shadows, this loft is going to look amazing with the light streaming in through all those windows. I love it!! That was the best part of the pic above - playing with the shadow settings to get that wonderful criss cross of light. ♥

Her dart board has been a favorite item for a long while now, and this new foosball table is destined to be another! So cute with the little armless men, and I love that this comes in a nice weathered wood texture. Makes it feel all vintage and retro and a little dirty, just the way I like it.
