Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has an adorably precious new set out at this month's FaMESHed -- the Salcombe Gazebo. With longing thoughts of spring, the gazebo is gorgeously constructed with lovely lattice walls and a semi-transparent roof to let the sunshine filter through on those gorgeous spring days that MUST be just around the corner. Right? Please?

The Salcombe set includes that beautiful couch (and a few other pieces) - the couch is so lovely with its springy color pallette and the perfectly draped pillows and throw. Isla does some of the best fabric draping ever. ♥

It is a new month, but thankfully The Garden is still on until the 10th! That gives you a little over a week to fulfill all your lodge-y needs. 

Winter Thorn and {what next} have a super adorable camping set available for you - that tent is just perfection. The set includes a sleeping bag and camp chairs and logs for sitting and really cute accessories and that great metal firepit - everything you need for a weekend communing with nature.  (Watch out for bears.)

Cory Edo has given us another amazingly gorgeous house from Trompe Loeil. The Autumn Cottage is currently available at Collabor88 and it's wonderfully dreamy. I predict that it will make you want to sip hot chocolate while wrapped up in a blanket and sitting by the fire, alternating between reading your favorite book and roasting marshmallows over that fire, all the while daydreaming about jumping in piles of beautiful yellow, orange, and red leaves. This is probably the healthiest blog post ever. 

Autumn is most definitely in the air. I've pulled together this lovely fall scene with beautiful new releases from all sorts of events currently happening: Collabor88, The Arcade, and The Seasons Story.  It's a busy month, events-wise.

That fireplace is from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil -- the Dardon Stone Fireplace Kit that you can pick up at Collabor88. It comes as individual pieces so you can build the perfect fireplace and patio for your space. I think the fireplace by itself would be lovely inside, too, in a nice rustic lodge or cottage.  

Mostly all of the apples are from my music soulmate Tegan Serin and floorplan. She's got two adorable autumn sets out right now, one at Collabor88 and the other at Seasons Story. All you need to get into an apple pie frame of mind. Mmmmm, pie. 

Those amazingly realistic pumpkins are from Kaz Nayar and PILOT. Those really are gorgeous. The whole little set includes the pumpkins, the wagon wheel, and the hay bale. It's a great deco piece to dress up your space for the season.

I am in the process of actually setting up a new house, for the first time since December 2010. I've told you guys before how crazily infrequently I switch out my own house, considering that I am all up in home and garden stuff all the livelong day. But it felt like time. I'll show pics when I'm done, of course.

In the meantime, though, it seems like fate that Isla Gealach released this lovely set for this month's FaMESHed.  It's the Port Isaac Pier from Cheeky Pea, and it now resides on my very own beach. ♥ The sofa is part of the set, and it's all squishy-comfy (that's a design term); the set also includes pieces so you can build your own pier if you want, or you can just use the shelter part of it if you prefer. It's a gorgeous weathered wood, and I love that the boards are actually a little warped and uneven. Lovely.

This may be the cutest picture I’ve taken for this blog ever, and I can only attribute, like, 25% of that to my own skills. Okay, 15%.

That amazingly darling tiki bar is the Floating Tiki Bar from Sienia Trevellion of Lark. It comes with the flamingo string lights, which are awesome and will be finding their way into all sorts of my decor, and also the adorable tropical drinks. It’s also scripted to give drinks and includes some really cute animations. There’s nothing about this that I don’t love.

I love outdoor rooms. ♥ The new pergolas from Cory Edo and Trompe Loeil are very inspiring to create these outdoor spaces! Available at FaMESHed, the pergolas are available in super packs that come with all sorts of options - one wall, two walls, no walls...lights, flowers, lights and flowers...etc and so on. Gorgeous. Be sure to also check out the Country Pavilion, also at FaMESHed - it's a perfectly grand and wonderful outdoor spot that you need in your garden.

The couch is one version of the Sydney Sofa from Rayvn Hynes and MudHoney, available now at The Home Show. I used the white one here because it fit the calm, mostly neutral palette I wanted, but you must check out all of the different color options available! There are, like, a million. Or twelve. Somewhere around there. And they're all just beautiful.

There are SO MANY amazing events going on right now, or about to go on, or about to end - just a lot of activity! Home Expo is in full swing...The Arcade is about to kick off...but don't forget one of our favorite monthlies: Collabor88! In progress right now!!

Over at C88, Kaz Nayar and PILOT have the perfect little outbuilding for your back garden: the Garden Shed. Great mesh work, as always, and wonderful texturing.

The Rain Barrel and the Water Hose - both of which I absolutely love - and the Potted Plant Shelves are available at C88 along with the shed. The Garden Tools and the Garden Supplies were offered for FLF a few weeks ago...I don't think those are available at C88, but hopefully can still be purchased at regular price in Kaz's main store.

Noticing a trend with my last few pics. I'm cool with that.

I love canopies, and therefore I love that chaise lounge from .lame (Divine Falodir), available now at -- wanna guess? THE GARDEN. Hells yes.

I mixed it up with the chairs from Pixel Mode's Newport set at THE GARDEN, the trunks from +ILO+'s set at THE GARDEN, and threw some floor pillows in there from the Cheeky Pea Alice set at THE GARDEN. Moral of the story GO TO THE GARDEN. NOW. BEFORE THE 10TH. GO FORTH.

Speaking of those trunks, I love that they're modeled with an actual weave - not just a textured weave, but actual true basketweave. Thank you, mesh!!!

That lovely gazebo is from Amelie Knelstrom and Vespertine. It's available in a bunch of yummy colors and comes with the garlands, the lanterns, and an adorable cake stand of yummy goodness.

(P.S. Since some folks have asked and since I use it in lots of pics: that grass is from Shade Fantasy Outfitters - I've had it since 2008, I believe, and it's still my favorite to use!)

This lovely backyard retreat is a mish-mash of goodness from a few of my favorite designers. I am still so excited about the first round of TLC's The Garden - Spring never looked so good! - and it's been a great inspiration for some pretty awesome (if I do say so myself) vignettes.

The wood pergola and the couch/chair seating are from MudHoney's Rayvn Hynes. I think I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again - Rayvn is rocking the mesh, and I love seeing each new set she releases. I also really love the little wrinkles she works into her upholstery pieces - see the pillows on the couch! SO REAL. ♥

The massage table and spa set is from Froukje Hoorenbeek of Dutchie - who also rocks the mesh HARD - and I just adore the little details of the tray, above. Hot stones, essential oils, and soothing aromatherapy candles? Yes, please.

Speaking of yes, please -- I was SO happy to see that Froukje has released some mesh plants. A whole slew of 'em! I love including greenery in my rooms, and these are just gorgeous. They're mod, too, which means I can size them up or down to fit specific spaces. I SUPPORT THAT.

There's a new home & garden event in town that kicks off today - The Garden, sponsored by The Liaison Collaborative. ♥

There are 22  lovely designers participating in this month's theme of English Garden Party - you can see the list over at TLC's website. Really, though, you should head on over to The Garden itself because ohmygoodness, what a gorgeous build!

I'll be showing you lots more from this great event over the next few weeks (the event runs from now until May 10), but today, let's talk about what Second Spaces (that's me!) has brought to The Garden! The English Garden set, seen in the first pic of the post, has a lovely weathered wood table, vintage metal and wood lawn chairs, and hand-thrown clay pots for your gardening needs. That's the Sara Picnic set from Isla Gealach and Cheeky Pea. It's a mesh update of a previously released set, and it's one that makes me happy. I love those string lights!! ♥ What's even more exciting (that I previewed a few days ago) is this amazingly perfect picnic basket. Grapes!! Gorgeous textures! And more grapes!!!

The updated Sara set is available at this month's FaMESHed and it comes with some exciting new additions! The Sara Daybed is a lovely whimsical piece made of recycled doors, and that, my friends, is just smart for the environment.

One of the most exciting items at this month's Arcade, in my opinion, is the Teardrop Trailer from Tegan Serin and floorplan. I'm a little biased, sure, since Tegan is my music soul mate, but seriously - look at this preciousness!

That's just one of the cutest things in all of ever. It's available in a ton of gorgeous colors that you can try for in the gacha machine, including a few rare options that include a lovely blanket draped across the roof - perfect for gazing up at the stars. The trailers all come with a few cute animations for you, your pals, and your close pals. Perfection!

Also at the Arcade are the Anywhere Lawn Chairs from Winter Thorn and {what next}. These are so nostalgic to me -- if you're old like I am, you remember the days when these were the chairs that everyone had. They left terrible marks on the backs of your legs, and that's what summer was all about. Right? Anyway, you can play for these at the Arcade - the coolest thing about them is that they truly are "anywhere" chairs. They're meant to be worn as an attachment so that you always have somewhere to sit, even when you can't rez a chair. Love it! (Please note these aren't able to be used as just, you know, regular chairs. You can rez them as props, like I did for the picture, but you can't sit in them. The sitting only works when you're wearing them.)

That great campfire and cooking stand is from Froukje Hoorenbeek and Dutchie. She's got a great mesh set with the campfire, firepit, some lovely logs for sitting around the fire - a great set for your outdoor spaces!

You know the best thing about our favorite monthly events? They keep Cory Edo of Trompe Loeil crazy busy kicking out awesome stuff. I approve. The July installment of FaMESHed is (of course) open now, and Cory brings the Patio Pool for your sun lounging pleasure.

I love mesh. For the record, I predict that I will be the last designer IN THE WORLD to learn how to make mesh...but I sure do love playing with mesh made by others. ♥

As always, we've got great textures with nice depth and cute details like the little pool lights and the precious little koi who are swimming around like it's SRS BSNS. Also, I think Cory makes my favorite fireplaces.

Don't think I didn't notice how the firelight spills out onto the ledge in front of the fireplace. Warms my heart. And something you may or may not know about me: I love steps. Straight, curved, L-shaped, grand, simple...I just love steps. Steps almost always mean multiple levels (obviously), and I am a sucker for a sunken room or a raised platform. That goes for RL as well as SL. AND, in SL, I really love well done steps that are textured well and have solid definition and shading between the treads and the risers. Having said all that...the Patio Pool has plenty of steps to keep me happy. ♥
